Finlay Minerals is a Vancouver-based mining company focused on the exploration and development of high value base and precious metal deposits in northern British Columbia. The management team are proven mine finders and developers. Between them they hold significant executive-level exploration, development, and operational experience in Canada, the United States, and South and Central America.
The Company has 100% ownership of three geologically exceptional properties with known mineral occurrences: the PIL-Gold and ATTY Properties in the Toodoogone mining region of British Columbia and the Silver Hope Property in north central British Columbia.
The PIL-GOLD Property represents a major advancement in the Company’s portfolio. It is the site at which a significant copper-silver mineralized alkali porphyry system and a silver-gold epithermal system were discovered in late 2016.
Previous discoveries on this property include several gold-silver epithermal systems and several copper porphyry systems.
The property is within the Quesnel terrane, a 1,000km belt of volcanic rocks hosting many open pit-bulk tonnage copper-gold-silver mines associated with alkali porphyry systems. These properties include the former Kemess Mine and associated Kemess Underground and Kemess East deposits of Centerra Gold, the Mt. Milligan Mine of Centerra Gold, the Mt. Polley Mine of Imperial Metals, the New Afton Mine of Newgold and the Copper Mountain Mine of Copper Mountain Mining.
In the spring of 2022, the PIL-Gold was optioned to ATAC Resources Ltd. for a 70% interest in the property.
The ATTY Property is adjacent and contiguous to Centerra Gold’s Kemess Underground and Kemess East deposits. Both these deposits are within a kilometer of ATTY’s border.
Silver Hope Property
The Silver Hope Property adjoins, surrounds and is on-trend with what was once the province’s largest silver mine – the Equity Silver Mine. The Silver Hope Property has yielded two major discoveries in the last 10 years: a copper-molybdenum porphyry and a new gold-silver-copper discovery.
